Last week we successfully completed the main functional testing regime of our dust free scabbling system. This large scale ROV is designed to remove contaminated concrete from the walls, of nuclear storage ponds and active cells. During the last 2 months of testing, it has shown that it achieves both effective scabbling and dry dust suppression/collection using the innovative scabbling head with our Rotocutter technology. All designed, built, programmed, and tested in house at our site in Cumbria it’s a real testament to what our small but skilled team can achieve. The next step will be to get it ready to deliver to the Dounreay site for its active demonstrations.
